About MoleQuant
What is MoleQuant?
MoleQuant is a Doha-based AI materials discovery and vendor-managed inventory platform for GCC industry. It turns a formulation challenge into a physics-validated formula in ten days, then helps source and manage the raw materials needed to produce it. The platform is available in Arabic and English, and Qatar Development Bank has invested in MoleQuant.
Who is MoleQuant for?
MoleQuant is for manufacturers and R&D teams in oil and gas, construction chemicals, petrochemicals, polymers, coatings, ceramics, water treatment and lubricants across Qatar and the GCC. Typical users are R&D directors, formulation chemists, technical managers and procurement leads.
Where is MoleQuant based and where does it work?
MoleQuant is headquartered in Doha, Qatar, at Tornado Tower in West Bay. It serves clients across the GCC, including Saudi Arabia. Client data is held in the GCC.
Is MoleQuant backed by anyone?
Yes. Qatar Development Bank has invested in MoleQuant.
Chemical Formula
How does MoleQuant's AI formulation work?
MoleQuant's AI generates hundreds of candidate materials for your challenge, then its Trust Engine filters each one through physical laws, manufacturing constraints and compliance checks. You receive a ranked, validated shortlist with synthesis route, cost analysis and documentation, not a raw prediction.
How long does a formulation sprint take?
A MoleQuant formulation sprint takes about ten days from a defined challenge to a validated result, compared with an industry-average R&D cycle of around eighteen months. Candidate generation itself takes hours.
What is the Trust Engine?
The Trust Engine is MoleQuant's eight-stage validation layer. It cross-checks AI-generated candidates against open reference data such as the Materials Project, PubChem and NIST and against physical constraints, and it records why each candidate passed or failed, so results are explainable rather than black-box.
What data does MoleQuant use, and is it licensed for commercial use?
MoleQuant uses open reference datasets licensed for commercial use, including the Materials Project (CC BY 4.0), PubChem and NIST, with attribution. MoleQuant does not use datasets restricted to non-commercial use in its commercial service.
Do results get tested in a lab?
MoleQuant results are lab-ready: they are designed to be taken straight into your lab for confirmation.
What does a formulation sprint deliver?
A sprint delivers a ranked validated formulation shortlist, synthesis route, cost analysis, compliance mapping, safety documentation and a plain-language report.
Vendor-managed inventory and carbon
What is vendor-managed inventory (VMI) at MoleQuant?
MoleQuant VMI is a service in which MoleQuant sources, tracks and replenishes the raw materials your formulations depend on, with quote comparison, approval routing, receiving, batch and expiry tracking, and minimum-level proposals with the reasoning shown.
How is MoleQuant VMI different from ordinary inventory software?
Ordinary inventory software starts after the order. MoleQuant VMI starts from the validated formulation, which already names the raw materials, quantities and specifications, so the data is entered once and carried through sourcing, receiving and replenishment.
Do I need the formulation service to use VMI?
No. VMI can be used on its own for materials you already formulate. Used together, the formulation record and the consumption record inform each other.
Can MoleQuant calculate the carbon footprint of a formulation?
Yes. MoleQuant calculates the carbon footprint of a formulation from its inputs and process, with an input-level breakdown and comparison between alternatives. Calculation is live today and automated by the platform; accredited reporting is launching.
Commercial and trust
How much does MoleQuant cost?
MoleQuant starts free: the first proof-of-concept sprint carries no commitment. After that, Standard subscriptions and Enterprise deployments are scoped to your challenge and sites. Pricing is agreed after the free sprint.
What does the free sprint include?
The free sprint takes one materials challenge through MoleQuant's process and returns a validated shortlist and summary so you can judge the method on your own problem.
Who owns the results and my data?
Your challenge data and results belong to you. MoleQuant isolates each client's data from every other client and does not use one client's confidential data for another.
Where is my data stored?
Client data is held in the GCC under Qatar's data protection law.
Is the platform available in Arabic?
Yes. The MoleQuant client portal is available in Arabic and English, including right-to-left layouts, Gulf working week and Hijri dates. Project documents are issued in English.
Does MoleQuant follow Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS)?
MoleQuant maps results to Qatar Construction Specifications where relevant. QCS parameters are pre-loaded in the client portal.
How is MoleQuant different from other AI materials tools?
MoleQuant validates rather than only predicts, and it connects formulation to supply in one platform, built for GCC standards, languages and data residency. Global tools usually stop at the molecule.
How do I get started?
Request a free sprint through the contact form or email the team with a short description of your challenge. MoleQuant replies within one business day.
